How To Rip a DVD!!!

Well i have come across many dvd's which has a huge capacities of more than 1.5 gigs(usually for english movies),copying them to the computer as a whole is quite useless work and it takes up a lot of your computer resource. So i have putforth a small tutorial which helps to rip a dvd i.e converting it to xvid or an divx format.but you need to get the correct tools for doing it.

  • The first tool you need is the DVD DECRYPTER.You can get it HERE
  • The second tool you need is the auto gordian knot (autogk).it is a freeware and
    you can find the softwareHERE
DVD decrypter allows you to rip the raw DVD video and audio data off of your disk drive, decrypt the CSS protection, and finally remove any other protection schemes, such as Macrovision. AutoGK is a package of codecs and a GUI interface that will take the raw DVD data through an AV processing pipeline to produce a single windows video file. Lets move onto the tutorial.....

  1. step1:RIP:
Put in a DVD and launch DVD Decrypter. Choose IFO (Information File) mode:

Now make sure you’ve selected a destination for your files:

Now you need to find which program chain to rip (PGC). Pick the one that’s the longest(by default the longest will be selected), or in the case of a TV dvd, the episode you want to rip:

Everything’s set up. Just click the green arrow and wait about twenty minutes, after which you will have a set of files which look like this:

VTS_01_PGC_07 - Stream Information.txt

The whole ripping process shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.

2. Step 2: ENCODE

Launch AutoGK and select the first .vob that you just ripped as an input file, and set an output file name:

Now you need to select audio (choose the first one) and subtitles, if any:

If you’re ripping a TV, set the preferred size to 350MB, if you’re ripping a movie, choose either 700MB or 1400MB, depending on your preference:

Finally, click on advanced settings and choose MP3 VBR 128kbs: (here you can choose divx or xvid format)

Then click “add job” and “start.” After all this, you’ll have a log that looks like the following: (note the log changes from movie to movie,so dont worry if you dont get same one)

[8/24/2006 9:07:27 AM] AutoGK 2.26

Step 3: WATCH

You’re done. Delete all the non .avi files and enjoy the fruits of your ripping.

That all required for the ripping process.though the process may take some time ,this is the most perfect way to rip,and the ripped coppy is more compressed with great can follow the same process to any movie such as english, hope you find the tutorial useful and stop wasting time and start ripping those movies of the DVD's!!!

Megaupload problem completely solved!!!

Well i myself had been very annoyed with the restrictions putforth by,espicially that allocation of slots to each of the countries, which are always full and we usually get the error "all the slots allotted for your country are full, please try again later".so i decided to work on it and tumbled accross on a solution which solves this slot reservation problem completely and gives us access to download from Megaupload whenever we want,so here we go.....

Byepass Megaupload Restrictions for MozillaFirefox:
First go to firefox addons (this link will redirect you on Htts so may be you will have to open a port)

Click Install Now to install addon.

Restart FireFox. Tool-->User Agent Switcher--->Options--->Options

Click User Agents--->Add

Type this:

+ Description: MEGAUPLOAD

+ User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Click OK twice to finish adding User Agent.

From now, before downloading any file on megaupload just go Tools--> User Agent Switcher--->MEGAUPLOAD.

after the download finishes you can return to orginal settings by selecting Tools--> User Agent Switcher--->Default.
thats it now you can download from Megaupload without any is working 100%.

Byepass Megaupload restrictions for IE:
irst download from

Thats what is in the reg file :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicrosoftWindows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0User Agent\Post Platform]"Alexa Toolbar"=""

How does that work :
Well MegaUpload checks that the toolbar should be installed to have unlimited slot restrictions.. Since we have not installing the toolbar on the pc but faking the scenario by including it in the reg .. so the explorer will report as though it is installed...

That was a good trick .. Any way ur pc is safe since we are faking .

Yup thats should do to fake Megaupload for now....more tips and triks coming in next post...till then Keep cheating MEGAUPLOAD and HAPPY DOWNLOADING!!!!
