BSNL to launch 100 mbps speeds for private homes in stages of two years

The news is becoming bigger and bigger,the telecom giant has decided to float out tenders regarding the implementation of WiMax throughout the country covering many rural areas and towns.This venture will be implemented in two phases,in the first phase an sum of Rs2000 Cr has been set up which will cover half of the proposed coverage and the other half will follow right away with another sum of Rs 2000 Cr.It is also let out by the officials that,in an span of two years,BSNL will be launching speeds up to 100mbps for private homes.The company have decided to send out such speeds using the fiber optic cables which needs up gradation from the currently running fiber to node technology!This will also be done in two stages.

Speedtest.net is a private concern that deals which allows you to test your broadband speeds for free.It is a nice site made exclusively of flash and poses a neat look.First you need to select a server thats near to you(usually marked on the map with a yellow triangle)and click it.Thats it ,all the other process are done automatically and your connection will be checked for both upload and download.After the process completes an banner with your upload and download speed is generated automatically and you can save the the banner and post it on the internet and boast about your speed ,of course if you have a good speed!
